Peter Lion had been inclined towards writing at a very early age. Throughout his growing up years in Connecticut he was seen dabbling in poetry as well as wrote numerous short stories. His talent within this field was further honed when after enrolling in the Notre Dame High School in Connecticut he soon began contributing to the students school newspaper.
He set out to make a career of his passion for the words by first getting a degree in Journalism from the Southern Connecticut State University. He published his very first magazine article inside the Hartford Magazine before he graduated with his journalism degree.
He entered into the television business even before he had completed his college. A couple of months before graduation, Peter Lion took up employment with WTNH-TV as part time graphics operator. This television channel was an affiliate with the ABC network and was based out of New Haven. Peter Lion though, had no experience in this field snapped up this opportunity to get an entry and to develop a foothold in the news and television industry.

He then transferred to Boston and started working with WSBK as a Technical Director. He worked on several projects, his major one being the Boston Red Sox Baseball and Boston Bruins Hockey. However, his wish to be in television with the exceptional passion for writing pulled him back to his home state as part of a little television station start up.
He joined this team to be a director as well as a technical director for the 10 PM news cast, which was to be the first within the state. He used this understanding to build the show from the beginning.
Peter Lion relocated to Pittsburg and joined KADA TV after completing a couple of years with this start-up.
